Did you know there was a Media Object Search application, P00166? It allows you to search across Media Objects by the categorization configured for them. P00165 is the Media Object Category Constants where you flag what data you wish to collect by Media Object category.
For example, let's say you wanted to search attachments done during journal entry creation.
This is the P00165 inquiry screen, pulling up just the GT0911* categories:


Select the first one for the journal entry header, and check the data points you wish to search. In this example, the Description, Author, and Creation Date are checked. When you click Save, you'll now see the inquiry screen has expanded to show the data points being collected on that category, GT0911:


When an attachment is created, the user can then take the option to "Characterize" to populate the necessary information:


Then you can search these attachments in the P00166 screen. Using the sample above:
