Logic Extensions were first introduced in Release 22, and with the latest Release 25 further enhancements, Ask Denovo thought this would be a great opportunity to do a deeper dive with this Series.
It has been three years, and this is still a tough tool to implement without knowing exactly what it can do and where. I recently had someone say it was like a multi-purpose tool - you have it, but you won't know you need it until you realize you can use it for something. The good news is that more and more companies are asking the question, "Is there something with extensibility tools to solve this business pain point?"
Denovo clients are embracing UDOs and Orchestrators with great effect. We have a manufacturing company who recently had Denovo create a complex Logic Extension which solved a recurring problem. This use case is a simplification of that capability designed to be readily repeatable. The business pain point was having to change the Promised Delivery Date on purchase orders. Hundreds of purchases feed into the client's manufacturing process and MRP, and these Promised Delivery Dates are critical to keep updated with accurate dates. This first video is to show the final solution itself and how it can enable you to deliver your customer orders as promised, even with supply chain unpredictability.
