On November 4, The Vernon Company successfully migrated a major component of their business operations, their enterprise resource planning system (ERP), to Denovo’s Private Cloud. Since their founding in 1902, The Vernon Company has always been a company dedicated to internally managing critical and decision-making information needs of their company. Since their days of using IBM mainframes, large capital investments in centralized systems and specialized resources has always been a part of doing business. Starting today, The Vernon Company has made a major step toward the company’s evolution towards digital transformation.

To move their IT systems out of their facility was a big decision for the Vernon team. The cloud migration included Vernon’s JD Edwards solution and surrounding applications that operated inside of their internal domain. The solution included Hosting, Managed Disaster Recovery, Infrastructure Managed Services, JD Edwards Application Managed Services, and an application upgrade to the latest release of JD Edwards.

What’s next for Vernon now that they are live on Denovo’s Cloud? The JD Edwards Enterprise One 9.2 upgrade is actively underway. With the upgrade, Vernon will take advantage of a code current strategy that will allow them to stay up on the latest and highest functionality and tools offered by Oracle. Denovo will play an important role in that continuous delivery process.
